went to sell my recycle metal. had 1600 pounds. blue rocket did not seem to mind. vroom vroom . down the road. the cat working the giant electro magnet had me a bit worried. snatching stuff up within feet of my head and body. must have been near 7' in diameter. it picked up a refrezerator and lifted it up a bit and just dropped and smacked it flat. that about 10 feet from me.
crazy bonkers. but got out alive. took my duckies and bought a dollar wendys chicken sandwich. the main thing is no women or children were hurt.

o k then. very hot. went to church today. met bob, palindrome man. lyle, jerry and amy. saw my old friend david. I wont remember any one but bob and amy. bob was clean shaven all the guys had goaties. guess I will go back. found about a thousand pounds of metal in the back yard with almost another to go. wow. going to sell all I can get on blue dog (my truck for the uniniciated).
ordered some special scraper blades today. took 6 months to locate.
my new gps called 1rover2 did me proud today. tried to confuse it but it was nonplussed.
this is a replica of the famous mobil logo that was at one time the highest point on the dallas skyline. this one is inside the old red courthouse museum in downtown dallas. that is where I made a stage.

the heat. 110 yesterday but only 108 today. did a little work in the yard. just cleaning up.
may have a deal cut on the old truck. got to get it ready to move. will take me a week or so.
no work for a month or so.

the week is done. no paint on the wainscot yet. it appears simple however the margins were highly critical. to create each panel there are 8 pieces of trim. over 150 bits of trim so over 300 individual trim cuts. that is the trim alone. the panels and grid add a considerable amount more. to make this project more difficult all cutting had to be done outside and downstairs. walking walking walking. a mantle to design next

well, snow. we broke a record they say. 12.5 is the official total. its melting now and falling from the trees. big old globs hitting the roof. well, cold here. 2 days ago it was in the upper 60's. today is below freezing. on the 2 good days had a battle with the fire ants. my first weapon was boiling water. then after more stings there was only one thing to do. yes, fight fire with fire. their losses were high. after the water thing the next day they bring their dead up and stack them, I counted at least 30 queens in the 1 mound. an amazing day. I was worried about the stair rail. some oddities there but it worked out. I was amazed. I have to give our good lord the credit because I made a mistake and somehow he fixed it. what a blessing. the rail is in the air. I've been trying to hide my mistake now it will look like I'm a pro. actually the guys put the rail in a hot spot and I'm not sure how much it was effected. like the A- team. well; another day has come and gone. this was the first day to be back in arlington. I did see what was left of my tire. bits and pieces. I get to go to dallas tomorrow. I didn't make it monday. didn't feel right. stayed home safe. when the tread fell of my tire I didn't realize all the damage it did. wow! nothing that is detrimental. keep a watch on your tires, blow outs aren't fun. read the recommended tire pressure on your drivers door. keep it under 90 mph. just gooffing off; the snake is not near my mouth. a nice garter snake. it is back in the yard safe and sound. not big enough to eat.

and so I get my wish. the wheel barrow tires are on sell at harbor freight. go team. lucky me. much work to do this spring. truck truck / blue rocket is back out on the big road. I've decided it is the radius arm bushing as well as a low freon charge. so I'm going with that. I did hit 85 today for a short period of time. wish I still had that beemer. wow! what a car that was. given time I could have figured it out. its top speed was 160, so the book said. that's with every thing in place. a good day with the dawn. I shall be happy.

and so another day has come and gone. the storm last night was strong. the trees still stand so I'm happy. I thought I could install the fridge cab by my self. oh my was I wrong. the man of the house worked from home today and was able to lend a hand. it was nip and tuck. so tight we had to take the handle off the oven and even then only had 1/4" on each side to slip it in. I had to do a dead lift for the final installation. ow my head. as always quite difficult. results? the same as always. I just checked out the cowboy stadium web cam. they have a slide show with picture taken each month to show progress. got some time off until the cabinets get on the job. hopefully I can get pictures of the mantle when painted. I went to the pawn shop and bought yet again another router. a monster. don't know why I do it. while there sajo came in. he is trying to beautify his church. he plays drums and goes to a community college. he drives a big harley, 1200 cc's. he's a little thinner than sam but about as tall. he bought me lunch. next time it is my turn to buy. he lives behind me. he is from india. check out my 2 routers. buying used is always a gamble but with portet cable all parts are available. the small one is bigger than most. I now have 2 giant ones. rain tomorrow

well; I was awakened from bed by a rooster outside my house. a pretty bird. pearl is still traumatized by the duck experience. she wont talk to me. I've been shunned. I had to intervien and the rooster had to go. sent it packing. flew over 2 fences and haven't heard from it since. the weather is warming up. maybe pearl will forgive me. the neighbors had a birthday party that didn't end until after midnight. so tired. they played music real load and some kid had a horn thing. guess he was trying to compose a song or something. toot toot toot oh my. he finally got tired about 11:30. I almost lost patience. they didn't even invite me. now I know the code, they only mow the yard the night of a party. thats all the news. resistance is futile.

oh now. the duck was in the yard when I returned home. I herded it into the backyard until I can figure out what to do. some one must be missing it. its so cold here. a duck was out side this morning. when I got home after work it was on the front porch. guess it wanted some duck food. it looked at me disdainfully. then waddled off down the road, looking over its left wing with scorn. I felt so bad. what does a person do with no duck food? it felt free to deposit reminders of its visit on the front porch. mantle time is almost here. so cold today. I get a reprieve next week.

what a great day. very profitable. a hard 8 hours but worth it. now I start the first mantle tomorrow. logistics will be tough. meeting the cabinet guy then. should all go well. not so far from home. almost have the design in my head. I think I will get an I-phone. I hear they are good. internet from anywhere. research to do. then I'll decide. got to sparkle and shine in the morning. I'll get some pics of progress in a few days. I've got opportunity to do and interesting job. a complicated mantle will be the main thing. the rest is mundane. 11 doors, crown, the usual. here are a couple of pictures to show what I'm going to try and replicate. it must have a hidden door to access the gas valve for the fire box. they don't want to see the valve. so I'll do like norm abrams and do my rendition. there is a before picture as well. the other 2 I took from a magazine. cold again and rain next week. waiting for the mail. found a tv on the curb near my house. it works. the brick is the before. a lot of planning to do. that's all for now

had another great day. didn't drive as much as I wanted. ate more than I should nave. looked at a really big job. maybe I can make it work. a wild mantle. need my big rope. car car is famous. it was a nice day today. I was shopping for calenders. almost 10 duckies each. I need 2 you see. bought some wonderful products for a door repair. just got to know where to shop. went to buy inserts for my shoes and for the price I either payed for them or calenders. however you slice it up I got 2 for one, sweet. got home safe again. time to hibernate. maybe a little vehicle repair. music for sure. that is for the remainder of the week. got up to 61 today. I would like to play horse shoes. I played a guy flipping coins. odds or even. I cleaned out the house. his house. but I played my whole pot against him until I lost it back. less than a dollar. I started with a 10 cent front by him. I did lose a pecan in the deal though. they grow on trees. I tried to get him to go rock paper scissors for 3 cents a day or so later. he backed down. shucks.

corbels at the top. the stained steps are treads and landing that I had to make from 5/4 x 6 boards. the treads are 2 pieces. the landing 7. they are installed with no mechanical fasteners so it has a real clean look. the stain treds don't show wear like a painted one will. well there you have it.

pearl has breakfast in bed. the truck engine. and a super sweet chop saw in pieces. and the ever present picture of emily. the saw was a great find at a pawnshop. about as cheap as dirt. but good all the same. where would we be without dirt? the center of nothing? well; time to start a project. HEY!. got the truck started. smooth. very nice. and then I guess I will roll around tomorrow. maybe start a chili. going to be cold monday. guess I'll have to go to joe's, yeah I need a couple of calenders. give truck truck a good test. harbor freight again. if the highway keeps calling I may roll east in awhile. not sure.
